As a registered provider of NDIS services Biala can provide services to all children with an NDIS plan, regardless of how the plan is managed.
What is the NDIS?
The NDIS is a way of providing support for people with disability, their families and carers in Australia.
The NDIS philosophy is all about giving choice and control to people with disability.
The NDIS funds support that is deemed reasonable and necessary. Reasonable and necessary supports help people achieve their goals.
These goals may be linked to greater independence, social and economic participation and meaningful community involvement.
There are three categories that all NDIS supports fall into - Core, Capacity and Capital:
Core supports enable participants to complete activities of daily living.
Capacity Building supports are where all the therapy type supports for early childhood are everything that relates to skill development.
Capital supports are an investment, such as assistive technologies, equipment and home or vehicle modifications.
