New! Ready Set Go! - Program of Support

Term times:

Ready Set Go is a group program designed to support children transitioning to school.

The program aims to:

- Support children to develop the skills necessary for a successful transition to school

- Provide families with strategies and resources to support their child through the transition

As a group, the program encourages children to engage in activities that develop their social, emotional, language and motor skills, that will support their transition into school. Children will be encouraged to:

- Use language skills to communicate in a functional way

- Use an emotional regulation program

- Engage in group activities to prepare for participating in tasks at school

By taking part in the program, children will:

- Enjoy natural opportunities to socialise with their peers during structured and unstructured group activities

- Be introduced to The Alert Program, to support with identifying emotions and feelings in their body (interoception)

- Explore regulation strategies that can be used in a school setting

- Develop early literacy skills, identifying initial sounds, rhyming and counting syllables

- Practice their fine and gross motor skills, using pencils, scissors and fasteners and engaging in school-based sporting activities

- Be encouraged to develop independent living skills necessary for school

Where & When

Location Biala Peninsula, 1 Elizabeth Street, Mornington

This program is held weekly on Thursdays, 9.30-11.30am

Thursday 6th February 2025 - Thursday 3rd July 2025

Bookings & Cost

This program runs for 20 weeks and includes the provision of a detailed report at the end of the program

The total cost of the program is $5,496.00 ($252.48/week + $193.99 report)

For eligible NDIS participants this program can be accessed using NDIS funding. Alternatively, it can be accessed as a fee-for-service

* The cost includes session planning, setup and pack up, the writing of case notes and provision of a written report at the end of the program

* Short notice cancellations do not apply

* Two weeks' notice to exit the program is required.
